Clear Spider Is Going Mobile!
Clear Spider is developing a new mobile app that will allow you to manage inventory from anywhere with a mobile device. The app makes searching inventory, receiving, shipping, and other processes easier. It will be quick and easy access to all of the essential functions of the Clear Spider software. With the mobile app, you can take your inventory on-the-go.
This blog post is the first of a series outlining the different features in our new mobile app. It will include inventory visibility, traceability, efficiency, delivery performance and more.
One of the main app features is visibility. The app will show you item locations and how many items are currently on hand. With info readily available, the app will make it easier for your staff to look up items. The Clear Spider app shows your part numbers, min, max, and reorder points, location, and more. Staff will be able to see all this and more from their mobile device.
To view items, you can use a keyword search. From there, your staff will be able to view the items and their quantities. In addition, the system will alert you when an item reaches its reorder point. Each on hand quantity has a colour code to show how much of each item you currently have. Red means you need to reorder, yellow means it’ll reach the point soon, and green means the on hand quantity is full. This will help maintain stock levels, even if you have hundreds or thousands of items in your inventory.
