Company Name
The name Clear Spider comes from the motivations and intentions behind our software.
Transparency was the main focus of developing Clear Spider’s successful cloud-based services, as greater transparency and visibility between partners allows for more effective collaboration.
As well, the inventory management software was designed to be nimble and function through web access: effective web-based solution for managing inventory meant that clients would be able to not only structure their inventory tracking system to their needs, but also ‘stick’ with clients and continue to provide service at every step in the supply chain.
History
Paul and Ken began their partnership in 2006 after realizing that inventory management was missing something. Their experiences at other software companies cemented their conviction that they could do better at addressing the inventory management needs of their customers. Outlining pre-existing shortfalls not only showed the importance of inventory visibility in a supply chain, but that they were able to offer that very visibility that other companies simply could not.
Their solution focused solely on inventory, but provided software that was continuously updated server-side; solved inventory issues that other companies ignored; and also was the first cloud-based inventory software, extending flexible software to an even wider selection of machines and customers.
Today, Clear Spider’s dedication and innovative software supports over 100,000 different companies and their inventory needs.
