About United Airlines
Measured by fleet size and network, United Airlines is the third largest airline in the world and operates more than 4,500 flights a day. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, United Airlines is responsible for transporting millions of customers annually between 339 different airports located on 5 different continents.
What Clear Spider has Done
United Airlines reached out to Clear Spider for a solution to assist with tracking and recording the use of several consumable items in storage rooms at multiple terminals within the United States.
United wanted a system that used the Clear Spider kiosk so that their employees had an easy-to-use system that was readily available anytime. Using the kiosk, United Airlines’ staff are able to check the available amount of specific items while also scanning items in and out of the storerooms. Clear Spider is also used at one of United’s central warehouses in order to receive individual stockroom data and to monitor when any items need to be restocked at any location.
Using Clear Spider’s system, United Airlines has a comprehensive understanding of the stock being used at each location and can use item-cost data from their stockrooms to forecast future demand.

About NTN Bearings
NTN Bearings is the 3rd largest bearing manufacturer in the world with over 75 locations across the globe. They use their 100+ years of industry experience to produce high-quality bearings, constant velocity joints, and other precision industrial and automotive equipment for a variety of industries.
What Clear Spider has Done
Clear Spider was brought in to help NTN Bearings keep their orders accurate and reduce the likelihood of the wrong product being used to fulfill an order.
Due to the vast amount of products produced by NTN Bearings, they needed a system to help their employees quickly and accurately fulfill work orders with the correct bearings. Since bearing sizes are difficult to discern with the naked eye, Clear Spider set up a comprehensive system to double check that the barcode of the current set of bearings lined up with the barcode on the work order. With Clear Spider, NTN Bearings has been able to reduce the number of work orders that were incorrectly filled and has the ability to review all transactions to audit what bearings are being sent to each of their customers.
The ability to see the history of the transactions in Clear Spider helps NTN Bearings identify where issues are stemming from so they can more readily react to incorrect orders and ultimately keep their customers happy.
