This internal auditability helps Western Digital keep a closer eye on where their assets are and reduce the amount spent on tracking down lost items or purchasing necessary replacements.

Summit Electric Supply was looking for a system that had VMI capabilities to benefit itself and its customers.

Clear Spider formed a pilot project which allows Summit Electric to use different trucks as locations and accurately monitor inventory for on-demand repairs and servicing. The Clear Spider mobile app was implemented as a primary tool for Summit’s technicians to use to update the backend inventory data while out on different jobs The app provides a variety of benefits such as giving the technicians the ability to view inventory reports and data in real-time. Additionally, Clear Spider was set up to seamlessly integrate with several of Summit’s existing systems to provide accurate data without completely overhauling the programs they already had in place.

Clear Spider was brought in to organize tracking of Electro Rent’s items and electronic test equipment on a job by job basis.

Before Clear Spider, Electro Rent had struggled to track which equipment was being rented or used at various locations. This resulted in problems with efficiency and unaccounted or missing equipment. The Clear Spider system is used to view and track all of Electro Rent’s items at any given moment in time which greatly reduces confusion and the time it takes to track down specific equipment at different job sites.
